Fowler’s Friday FIVE
Proof you don’t need a perfect week
Happy Friday 👊
This week wasn’t flashy, but it was a good reminder that progress isn’t always loud.
Here’s my Friday 5:
- 🚗 Sunday/Monday chaos – Car broke down, so Monday was spent in the garage… not quite the productive start I had planned. On top of that, managing PSC flare-up symptoms wasn’t ideal. Still showed up and trained — just dialled things back.
- 🏋️ Adjusted, not abandoned – Got my sessions in, but reduced weight and intensity. A good reminder that meeting yourself where you’re at > forcing it and burning out.
- 🚔 Unexpected gym drama – Police showed up mid-session chasing a prison escapee… not your standard Tuesday workout environment 😂
- 😴 Fatigue has been high – Energy’s been low, so I’ve focused on the basics: moving well, not chasing PBs, and keeping things sustainable.
- ❄️ Snow… in March? – Enough said. UK weather doing its thing.
Big takeaway this week:
When life throws chaos at you, strip it back to basics. Consistency doesn’t mean perfect — it means adaptable.
Your challenge for next week:
Keep it simple.
Pick 3 non-negotiables (e.g. steps, water, protein, workouts) and hit them every day — no matter what the week throws at you.
