Fitness for Winter Well-being
How to Stay Active and Balanced in Colder Months
Here’s ways to overcome winter sluggishness with indoor workouts, mindful eating, and self-care tips.
It’s wet, it’s cold, it’s miserable… It’s the perfect time to exercise!
“ Ok, but it’s dark and I don’t want to go out after work, or before work “
There is a 30 minute daily window where you can workout / exercise.
Convince me differently but I can guarantee there is 30 mins that you can workout / exercise daily, you just aren’t putting it as a high enough priority.
Now this can be upsetting, especially if you have a family to look after or other commitments but the thing is, you have the time.
Don’t believe me?
Go to your phone settings and see much time you waste on social media!
We have loads of workouts that you can do at home. With and without equipment simply click the button below which will take you to our app
You can always check out our Monday Blog too, Monday Movement | Movement Monday where you get one workout to try out each week.
The tools are there, you just need to make your health a higher priority than procrastination and the uncomfortable 20-30 mins to get the work done.
SCRAN!
This time of year, yes there will be excess food too. If you want a few choccies or a tube of pringles or WHATEVER it is at your house. EAT IT.
I see this more often than not, and there’s so much BS online that you shouldn’t eat these foods. Eating them as your daily staple diet isn’t advisable but a little bit here and there and or over the festive period then enjoy yourself.
Popular cult culture says not to eat it and be more strict and have more self control, but when you step back and view this, this is what happens.
You don’t have the Mars bar… you battle in your head and fight the urge to not have it, you pick alternative foods, and consume them thinking it will hit the fix… it doesn’t, you end up having the Mars bar…… You’ve then over consumed, when if you just had the Mars bar in the first place then you would have saved stressing yourself out and over consuming additional calories!
If any of the above sounds familiar then drop me a message and we can have a chat to rewire your mindset around food and develop a better relationship with it.
