Setting Realistic Fitness and Mental Health Goals

So everything I will share now is NOT sexy in the slightest.

It’s going to be nothing new, nothing you haven’t already been told in the past.

BORING, I know.

Small achievable goals are the BIGGEST and SEXIEST win you will ever have.

Why?

I’ll tell you for why.

If you try and take on a big goal it can be overwhelming and daunting and a lot of the time people fail.

This isn’t because they don’t want to achieve their goal, it is because it can be too consuming.

Split the goal up.

How do you eat an elephant?

Bite by bite.

You build a house by laying brick by brick.

So why wouldn’t you look at goals the same way?

If you want to lose 2 stone, yes sure have the 2 stone as a long term goal, but the immediate goal and action you should take is to lose 1lb.

Lose 1lb at a time.

It’s easier to achieve and wayyyyyy more enjoyable along the way.

This transfers over into many aspects of life.

Want to save money, great. Be specific, I want to save £1200 in a year.

Rather than taking that from one month’s paycheck, take £100 a month for 12 months.

That’s more appealing right?!

So do the same, no matter what the goal is…

BREAK THE GOAL DOWN INTO SMALLER GOALS..

You will have a far greater success rate.
