Its half way into half term.
I’m stressed, the wife’s stressed, the kids couldn’t care less.
Does any of that sound familiar?
When the kids are off it can be chaos, because everyone is out of routine, there’s lay ins, late nights. More snacks… everything is outta sync.
How to keep control of your sh*t during half term.
Try these and see how you get on!
There is no right or wrong approach or answer.
- Get the kids out in nature, go for a walk, ride ride…. anything that gets them outside. Good for them and you.
- Send them to grandparents HAHA.
- Get up before them and get a workout done.
- Be creative as a family, let them pick a game or activity, everyone take part.
- GEOCACHING – this one is a bit nerdy, but its hella fun.
- Tech free days ( our school did this recently and it was epic )
- Build a fort together.
- Do a role reversal, let them be the parent for the day.
Take it all in your stride, remember you used to be a kid. And half term was fun.
Make it fun, enjoy the time together.
But if all else fails, get a dog and a camper van and run off…….. JOKING….. or am I?!
